What is Wellness Coaching

Nutrition V/S Medicines

“There are many people among us who get confused between the concepts of medicine and nutrition. They think that medicines make people healthy, and completing nutrition also makes people healthy. It’s true that taking nutritional supplements has some positive effects on the body. But in reality, the comparison between them is quite different.

Normally, if all the internal and external processes of our body run smoothly, we remain healthy. But when there is any disturbance in these natural processes, different imbalances occur in the body—these may be chemical imbalances, mechanical imbalances, or electrical imbalances. We refer to these imbalances as diseases. These imbalances happen either when the body does not receive complete nutrition (its required fuel), or when something unnecessary is given to the body, which also makes a person sick.

Medicine contains chemicals or drugs that create an artificial process similar to the disrupted natural process, allowing the person to feel normal again in a very short time. That is why medicines can save us during emergencies. But they also have harmful effects. Our body does not like artificial processes, and because of that, the dosage of medicine often has to be increased to maintain that artificial effect. Over time, the body’s natural state begins to change, and eventually, a point comes when a person cannot live without medication.

The most harmful part is this: suppose you have a problem only in your hand, but when you take medicine, it mixes in the blood and affects the entire body, not just the hand. If the medicine dose is low, the immune system can control it, but if the dose is high, the immune system cannot manage it. Then various side effects appear in the body, and while curing one disease, the person becomes a victim of another.

But nutrition works completely differently. When the natural processes of the body are disturbed due to deficiencies of certain elements or nutrients, nutrition simply provides those missing nutrients. It takes time, but through natural healing, the human body becomes healthy again with nutrition treatment.”
